“Elektrovojvodina” is ranked among the most successful electrical power supply companies from the system of “Elektroprivreda Srbije” (Electrical Power Industry of Serbia). According to the data from EPS (Electrical Power Industry of Serbia), this is confirmed by the results accomplished regarding the reduction of electrical power loss, as well as by data on collection of payment.
– The results accomplished by “Elektrovojvodina” place it high within EPS, and within the entire economy of Serbia. In the time of current destabilization of the actual economic sector and during the liquidity crisis of the economy and budget of Serbia, the results of its business operations will be crucial indicators of the ability of “Elektrovojvodina” to protect the interests of its owner and its users. The increased pressure form state authorities regarding the legal and economic security of business operation is to be expected. In that regard, our strategy, Collection of payment–Losses– Procurement, has been giving the expected results even at the semiannual cross-section. The concern about available resources and efficiency of operations, saving measures, initiative and effort to accomplish positive results at the end of year are the crucial elements of our approach – says Tihomir Simić, PhD, the Director of “Elektrovojvodina”.
Constant analysis of all parts of the electrical power supply company, regulation and improvement of internal relations, placement of mission and vision in the operational plan, modernization of operations at al levels, digitalization of the information system (as a part of overall improvement of communication), trainings for personnel – must also be taken into consideration for such business strategy, emphasizes Director Simić.
Along with the aforementioned, the application of all measures regarding the improvement of collection of payments and reduction of electrical power losses, “Elektrovojvodina” takes good care of every dinar spent. This gives results. Compared to the same period last year, the operational costs have been cut in half.

READY FOR STRIKES OF WINTER

The quality of the supplied electrical power and the capacity of facilities rank “Elektrovojvodina” among the European suppliers. In order to preserve such a trend, investments are carefully planned and conceived. Every investment must be driven by actual needs, especially when dealing with capital facilities.
– This year as well, “Elektrovojvodina” is the biggest individual investor in the development and improvement of the power supply system on the territory of northern Serbian province, with over 40 million invested. By creating conditions for the development of the economy and finance, our company performs its social function, as well as the role of the initiator of economy trends. Our project provided engagement for over 200 partners and cooperates – says Director Simić.
The company will welcome winter season 2011/2012 fully prepared, with reliable electrical power supply system regardless of the fact that electrical power is the most wanted energy being the cheapest in our country – adds our collocutor. He expects the increase in electricity consumption in the coming winter season, for which there are several reasons.
– The lack of economic price is an attempt to preserve the standard of citizens. However, upon the announcement of price increasment of fuel, fuel oil and coal, there is a risk that the majority of citizens will rely on electrical power. It may be a disturbing factor. We are preparing for it and we must overcome it – warns Simić.
All the necessary reparations have been done on time during the previous season. Thus, for example, this year, the occurrence of network outages is reduced by half in comparison to the same period last year.

WORTHY OF A REGIONAL LEADER

“Elektrovojvodina” acts with a plan in the field of modernization of informatics assistance for all operations, especially concerning energetics and management. The standards of similar modern systems are used as criteria in the process of modernization. – The final annual financial results are the only actual indicators of business operations. One who has accomplished positive trends and increasment of efficacy has a chance to accomplish goals and tasks 2011.
